GrooveScope ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Chrome extension and website.

Information We Collect

GrooveScope is designed with privacy in mind. We collect minimal data necessary to provide our service:

• Usage Data: Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics to help us improve the extension (e.g., feature usage counts). This data cannot be used to identify you.
• Account Information: If you create an account or purchase a license, we collect your email address and payment information. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment processor.
• Website demo: When you submit a YouTube link, its video ID is sent to our server and audio provider to generate the waveform. An embedded YouTube player handles normal video and audio playback; YouTube may receive the video ID, your IP address and playback activity under its own privacy policy. Preview audio is streamed to your browser, not stored as a permanent file by GrooveScope.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history
• We do not build a history of videos you watch outside the links you submit to the demo
• We do not permanently store audio or video content
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties for advertising purposes

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve GrooveScope
• Process transactions and manage your account

• Analyze aggregated usage patterns to improve our product

Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Your preferences and settings are stored locally in your browser. Any server-side data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Third-Party Services

GrooveScope interacts with YouTube and Samplette to render waveforms. The website demo sends the submitted YouTube video ID to our audio provider for waveform generation and loads a YouTube embed for playback. We do not share other browsing activity with the demo.

Your Rights

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your personal data
• Opt out of analytics collection
• Uninstall the extension at any time, which removes all locally stored data
